Those were the words of Donny Pangilinan’s Manny to Belle Mariano’s Ayef in ‘An Inconvenient Love’.
On Friday, October 28, ABS-CBN Films Star Cinema released the full trailer for its upcoming romantic movie ‘An Inconvenient Love’, starring Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano or DonBelle. The two will portray the roles of Manny and Ayef, respectively.
“I like you, saan ka pupunta? Sabi ko I like you,” Manny said while walking towards Ayef. The latter then replied to him “[i]iwan kita. Aalis ako. Masasaktan ka lang.”
That’s how viewers were given the first glimpse at ‘An Inconvenient Love’.
As the trailer progressed, the audience were given the background of the characters. Ayef (portrayed by Belle Mariano) is a convenience store staffer working at 24Ever and aspires to be an animator someday. Meanwhile, Manny (played by Donny Pangilinan) is a boutique plant shop owner who is also an activist at the same time.
Both of them believe that love is a mere inconvenience. However, as they both want to become happy, they plot an idea to engage themselves in a comtractual love and “break up” months later.
In the film’s trailer, BINI’s “Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi” plays a prominent role as the movie’s official sound track.
‘An Incovenient Love’ will mark Star Cinema’s return to in-person theaters after the COVID-19 pandemic forced the film outfit to release its outputs digitally, mostly via KTX and iWantTFC.
The movie is directed by Petersen Vargas and will be screened in cinemas nationwide this November 23.
