The hottest new gen love team is back with a new movie.
On Friday, October 21, ABS-CBN Films Star Cinema released the teaser trailer for its upcoming romantic movie ‘An Inconvenient Love’, starring Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano or DonBelle. The two will portray the roles of Manny and Ayef, respectively.
In the first look of the film, it asked the question “sa hassle ng buhay ngayon, magpapa-hassle ka pa ba sa pag-ibig?” as Ayef (Mariano) makes her commute in the metro. A rushing Manny (Pangilinan), with a face mask and later, glasses, will then grab Ayef’s earphone and listen to what’s being played through it.
Ayef and Manny then meet each other in the eye as their faces draw closer to one another as the trailer fades.
Star Cinema says that the story will revolve around the couple, where Ayef “is a convenience store staffer who dreams of being an international animator.” Meanwhile, Manny is said to be a boutique plant shop owner and a secret social activist at the same time. Both of them believe that love is a mere inconvenience. The two will then agree to contract one another for “love with an expiration date,” the synopsis of the film read according to the studio’s website.
An Incovenient Love is rather special for Star Cinema as it spells the movie studio’s return to in-person theaters after the COVID-19 pandemic forced SC to release its outputs digitally, mostly via KTX and iWantTFC.
The movie will be screened in theaters November 23 and is directed by Petersen Vargas.
