As the final episode of the live action series dropped.
The Viva One and Cignal Play collaboration serial adaptation of the online novel Project Loki by the writer Rhein Musni, also known as AkoSiIbarra, has come to an end.
To mark the finale, lead stars Dylan Menor and Jayda, who respectively portrayed the roles characters Loki Mendez and Lorelei Rios, were thankful to everyone who had been part of the series.
In their separate posts online, the two stars have conveyed their lengthy letters dedicated to the series.
In his post, Menor wrote: “As I’m writing this, I still can’t believe the final episode has come to an end. It doesn’t feel real yet. Hindi pa rin siya fully nagsi-sink in. I wasn’t ready for it to end but like all stories, everything eventually finds its closure.“
He noted that Project Loki has been one of the biggest and most challenging roles he has ever taken on, and for that, he will always be grateful, especially to production and management companies Viva, Cignal, TV5, and Stages, who believed and trusted him to bring Loki to life.
“To everyone who watched, supported, shared, and spent their Saturdays with us (and the GMeet’s, hehe) maraming salamat! Every (legal) stream, message, critique, and theory meant so much more than you know,” Dylan continued.
He also tjanked the certified PLayers, whom, he said, gave them “never-ending support” for Project Loki and showed love toward live adaptation.
To the writer AkoSiIbarra, he also tjanked him for creating what he called a “beautifully written story” and trusting the team with his vision. “It was an honor bringing it to life and being part of something so special,” the Kapatid star added.
He also gave his thanks to director Xian Lim, as well as the rest of the production team and members of the cast.
Not to be missed in his message is his partner-in-crime, Jayda. “[Y]ou were amazing. Thank you for the good memories, the long taping days, the laughs, and all our scenes together. Always proud of you!” Dylan said.
“And lastly, thank You, Lord, for guiding and protecting us throughout this journey. Every prayer before taping, every challenge – we knew You were always with us.”
He concluded his statement by signing off as Louis Kingsley Mendez, at least for now.
Meanwhile, for Jayda, while all good things must come to an end, it will be hard to say goodbye to Project Loki.
She recalled, “When I took on this project, I had no idea that I was saying yes to so much growth and change, but all for the better.“
Jayda then thanked the production companies and the team for making the series and entrusting her the character of Lorelei on her first series as a Viva artist.
“I’ll carry every lesson and bond we’ve formed with me for the rest of my career. I couldn’t have done this without you all. Thank you for taking such good care of us-and of me,” the actress-singer added.
To her castmates, she also dedicated a portion of her letter and said, “I’m so proud to know you guys, and to see how far we’ve all come it’s been my joy to share this whole experience with all of you. Masaya ako sa friendship beyond taping na nabuo natin!“
Like Dylan, she also thanked AkoSiIbarra for the “trust and support through every step of the way. And thank you for creating such an amazing world for us to bring to life.”
She also mentioned Dylan, whom she regarded as her “dearest Loki.”
Jayda wrote, “I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in this whole journey getting to work with you and know you will always be one of the brightest highlights of this chapter of my life. And as I always say, I’m so so proud to see you shine, Dylan“
To her own character, Lorelei, she said, “I have had the best time living many lives through you thank you for reminding me to find strength in vulnerability, to ‘do it scared’, even when the going gets tough, and to fight for the things I believe in.“
“And finally, to all the PLayers and the new fans that were made along the way, thank you for your love and for allowing me to be part of something so special such as this. it has been the honor of a lifetime being your Lori,” added Jayda before signing off as Lorelei for now.
