As the volatile situation in the rehoon continues to bring risks to critical infrastructure and overall airspace safety.
In an advisory, flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced that its flights to and from Doha, Qatar are canceled until June 30, 2026.
The affected flights are PR 684 (Manila–Doha), PR 685 (Doha–Manila), which include an additional cancelation on July 1, 2026.
Meanwhile, its service to and from Dubai, United Arab Emirates is suspended until August 2, 2026, which affects passengers of flights PR 658/659 (Manila–Dubai–Manila).
“Safety remains our top priority,” stressed PAL. “With unpredictable conditions — including restricted airspace, sudden closures, and limited routing options — PAL is taking a more cautious approach based on its safety assessment, recognizing that operating conditions may vary by airline.“
In light of these cancelations, passengers are presented with the following options: rebook, convert their tickets into travel credits with bonus, or request a full refund.
Those lookin to rebook to another available flight, this will come at no additional cost in the same cabin, subject to seat availability.
Conversion of tickets into Travel Credits with a 20% bonus, meanwhile, will be processed within 48 hours.
To those who wish to request a full refund with no penalties, specifixally those booked directly with Philippine Airlines, processing takes approximately 8 days due to the high volume of requests related to Middle East flight cancellations, with total posting time of 2 to 4 weeks depending on bank processing.
If booked through a travel agent, passengers are advised to contact their travel agent directly to request for refund.
Regarding its flights to and from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the route will continue to operate as of this time, with the airline assuring that it will continue to carefully assess operating conditions to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.
“Should there be any developments affecting this route, we will provide updates immediately,” it added.
