The actor said he is happy that everyone has found happiness.
In a recent media conference for the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival movie UnMarry, Kapuso actor Tom Rodriguez shared a personal news.
The Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre star revealed that he is now happily married again, over three years after the end of his relationship with his ex-wife, actress Carla Abellana.
Rodriguez shared this after he was asked about his reaction to Abellana’s confirmation of her engagement to her non-showbiz partner.
The actor first told, “Recently ko lang nalaman, because of this mediacon and when I heard nga, it’s an honest reaction. I wish her well, I wish them well.”
He added, “I’m glad to know everyone is moving on. We all deserve it. I wish them well. Everyone deserves happiness and we all deserve to move on and I’m glad we’re all moving on.”
The 38-year-old star then said, “That’s their life. Ako nakatutok ako sa sarili ko, sa sarili kong married life lang. Dun lang ako nakatutok,” revealing that he has tied the knot anew to his own non-showbiz partner.
“Gusto ko yung peace na meron ako ngayon. Mas dun na lang ako mag-fo-focus. So yung past, I don’t want to open it ever,” added Tom.
Tom and Carla starred together in the hit 2013 series My Husband’s Lover, which was followed by a string of projects like My Destiny, Mulawin vs. Ravena, and Love Of My Life.
In 2021, the ex-couple tied the knot, but broke up and filed for a divorce a few months later.
Following that, Tom went on hiatus and later revealed upon his return that he has already become a father to his son named Korben.
