Streaming before the year comes to a close.
Recently, streaming giant Netflix released the trailer for the upcoming fantasy series Cashero, which boasts a standout ensemble led by idol-actor Lee Jun Ho, along with Kim Hye-jun, Kim Byong-chul, Kim Hyang-gi, Lee Chae-min, and Kang Hanna.
The series follows the life of Sang-ung (Lee Junho), a salaried worker struggling to make ends meet who gains a superpower that grows stronger with the money in his hand.
Torn between bills and power, he becomes a down-to-earth hero in the “My Cash = My Power” story that is packed with humor, heart, and relatability and imagines a world where saving the day comes with a very real price tag.
The teaser trailer uploaded by Netflix begins with Sang-ung demonstrating his new ability to his fiancée Min-suk (Kim Hye-jun): the more cash he has, the stronger he becomes—and the faster it evaporates each time he uses his power.
As he jokes about his so-called gift, his unexpectedly heroic moments reveal a power that’s both absurd and astonishing.
Despite Min-suk’s warning not to use his ability, Sang-ung keeps stumbling into situations where he can’t help but intervene.
Around him, other superpowered duos appear: Byun Ho-in (Kim Byung-chul), Bbang-mi (Kim Hyang-gi), and the siblings Jonathan (Lee Chae-min) and Joanna (Kang Han-na), who hunt down superpowered individuals—hinting at a larger story filled with unpredictable alliances, rivalries, and chaos.
The series will make its premiere on Netflix on Boxing Day, December 26.
