They have taken their relationship onto another level.
In a reel posted on social media, actress-model Rere Madrid and basketball star Kai Sotto gave their viewers a peek into the latest milestone in their relationship.
The couple, first confirmed to be dating in May 2024, have tied the knot in a ceremony held in Alfonso, Cavite on Wednesday, May 27.
In the caption of the post, Madrid, who is the younger sister of actor Ruru Madrid and was recently seen in the fantasy drama series Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre, shared that it “still feels unreal that we finally get to call this day ours,” as they embraced their new era as Mr. & Mrs. Sotto.
“First, we want to thank God for this wonderful blessing we experienced this year,” wrote Rere. “Even though we went through challenges, misunderstandings, and people who tried to break what we had, we still chose to trust each other.“
“Because of that, our relationship became even stronger, together with the love and support of our families,” she continued.
The 26-year-old also expressed gratitude to their families and said, “We also want to thank our parents and siblings for being such a big part of this beautiful relationship. Seeing our families become one is truly one of the best feelings in the world.“
“Now, we’ll continue chasing our dreams together, hand in hand,” she added before thanking everyone who have been part of their journey as a couple.
Rere and Kai, who had just ended his Japan B.League stint, then received congratulatory messages and best wishes from their fans and colleagues.
