On Wednesday, May 27, ABS-CBN’s streaming platform iWant announced a new program starring Fyang Smith and JM Ibarra, collectively known as JMFyang.

The duo, who is fresh from their first lead roles in a big screen project in the movie Almost Us, will be joining forces for the new microdrama series entitled Will You Fake Marry Me.

Directed by Jojo Saguin, they are confirmed to be starring alongside Matet de Leon, Karina Bautista, Miguel Vergara, and Alyssa Muhlach.

At present, the premiere date for the vertical series has yet to be announced.

This will mark JM and Fyang’s return to the Kapamilya streaming platform following their successful digital series Ghosting, which ran from July to December 2025. Notably, it served as one of the banner shows of the platform for its rebrand that took place that year.

Since then, the two — who were first seen as housemates in Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 in 2024, which was ultimately won by Fyang — have worked on other projects, such as their participation in Shake, Rattle, and Roll Evil Origins for the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

They are also part of the ongoing Prime Video series Love Is Never Gone, which is top-billed by Joshua Garcia and Ivana Alawi.

As for iWant, Will You Fake Marry Me will add to its growing library of shortform vertical dramas, which includes the recent hit The Chambermaid’s Daughter starring Alexa Ilacad and BGYO’s Gelo Rivera.
