A shakeup is happening in the channel lineup of the country’s leading pay TV platform is having a shakeup this month.

Pay television provider Cignal TV is in the process of refreshing its offerings this May, as a number of channels, including two of its exclusive channels, are set to cease or have already vanished from its line-up.

First on the list is Wil TV, the eponymous channel of veteran TV host and producer Willie Revillame, which officially launched back in January 2026.

Following the end of Revillame’s latest variety program, Wilyonaryo — which was the only content of the station — last May 15, the channel that was available on Cignal’s channel 10 and Cignal Play app has been officially sunsetted without any fanfare.

Viewers noticed that it was swiftly removed from the lineup, with its spot in between RPTV (ch. 9) and GTV (ch. 11) ceasing to exist.

After that, the sweeping changes continue as the long-running Sari-Sari Channel (SSC), which is a joint venture between Cignal and Viva Communications through Sari-Sari Network, Inc., will also end its operations after more than a decade on the air, with its last full broadcast day being on May 31, 2026.

The following day, June 1, it will completely cease across all its platforms.

The company was formed in late 2015 and the linear TV channel, which is currently on Cignal channel 3 and the Cignal Play app, launching in January 2016.

SSC airs a mix of original programs, archived shows of Cignal’s sister company TV5 and Viva, as well as movies from the partners.

In 2016 and again from 2020 onwards, Sari-Sari also produced shows for TV5 such as Ang Panday, Bella Bandida, Born To Be A Star, Encounter (Philippine adaptation), and Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa.

The channel is not the only one going away soon, as it has also been confirmed that two other channels from Viva Communications are also leaving Cignal — the movie channels PBO (Pinoy Box Office) and Viva Cinema — effective June 1.

Moving forward, Viva’s content may be viewed through its streaming platforms Viva One, Viva Movie Box, and VMX, as well as movie blocks on various networks including TV5.

Meanwhile, Cignal has yet to announce whether new channels will occupy the slots that will be vacated.
