It will mark the much-anticipated return of the celebrity couple to the Kapamilya primetime block.
In a social media post on Friday, ABS-CBN officially announced the premiere date for Sigabo, the new series starring Primetime King Coco Martin and Prime Actress Julia Montes.
“Andito na ang matagal ninyong hinintay. Wala na itong atrasan,” the caption for the poster read, where the words “Magbabalik na siya. Abangan sa June 22” were seen.
This date is more than three months after the supposed premiere date last March 16, which was eventually postponed following actor-director-producer Coco Martin’s request to the management to allow the members of the production team, who also worked on the long-running FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, to take a short break.
It was earlier this May when the filming finally resumed for the show, with ABS-CBN also confirming in a disclosure that the show will indeed air in June.
The network, in the said document, also noted that it is expecting an upswing in its primetime viewership and revenue with the launch of Sigabo, which it looks to help buoy its financial results through the latter half of 2026.
Meanwhile, expected to be revealed in the coming days are teasers, as well as the cast members of the show, which Coco described as a light action-drama that will have a contrasting tone to FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, which cumulatively ran for a total of 10 years.
