He is back with a new extended play.
On Monday, May 19, Korean singer Baekhyun, member of the group EXO, dropped his fifth mini-album.
Titled ‘Essence of Reverie,’ it carries the lead singles ‘Chocolate’ and ‘Elevator,’ which had its music video published concurrent to the release of the EP.
More than a day after it was uploaded onto YouTube, the MV has already amassed over 3 million views.
Aside from the two already-mentioned, ‘Essence of Reverie‘ also includes five other tracks, namely ‘Lemonade,’ ‘Love Comes Back,’ ‘No Problem,’ ‘Black Dreams,’ and ‘Light Night Calls‘.
The new mini-album follows Baekhyun’s fourth extended play, ‘Hello, World,’ that was published back in September 2024.
Baekhyun is EXO members to have ventured into individual music projects, having debuted officially as a soloists in 2019. Since then, he has released songs like ‘UN Village,’ ‘Candy,’ and ‘Bambi,’ among others.
He also did acting stints, with his mist-notable being his portrayal of 10th Prince Wang Eun in the 2016 series ‘Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo,’ starring alongside IU, Lee Joon Gi, Kang Ha Neul, and Nam Joo Hyuk, among others.
Last February, he visited the Philippines for a fan meeting set up by a local clothing brand that he endorses.
