That would be over seven months after their last release.
On Monday, May 19, Korean music management company JYP Entertainment announced the upcoming project of its popular female group, TWICE.
Through a 15-second trailer, all nine members are seen wearing uniform look with all-blue outfits that bear the word “four”, along with an upbeat background track.
The said teaser has since garnered over 900,000 views on YouTube, while JYP confirmed the team’s forthcoming fourth full-album that will be released sometime in July.
TWICE’s new album, titled ‘This Is For,’ will mark the K-pop group’s return after dropping their fourteenth mini-album ‘Strategy‘ in December 2024.
Meanwhile, this will also be their first studio Korean album in nearly four years, succeeding ‘Formula of Love: O+T=<3‘ that was issued in November 2021.
Composed of Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu, they were assembled as a team after competing in the survival-reality show ‘Sixteen’ in October 2015.
TWICE went on to become a force in K-pop’s third generation, thanks to their successive hit singles ‘Like Ooh-ahh,’ ‘Cheer Up,’ ‘TT,’ ‘Knock Knock,’ ‘LIKEY,’ and ‘Heartshaker,’
These were later followed by popular tracks ‘What Is Love?,’ ‘Dance The Night Away,’ ‘Yes or Yes,’ ‘FANCY,’ ‘Feel Special,’ among many others.
