With passengers told to avail a number of options, including requesting for a refund.
Through an advisory on its website, budget carrier Cebu Pacific announced on Tuesday, February 3, that it will be suspending its Manila-Chiang Mai route effective March 1, 2026.
The last day of this service will be on February 27, with the airline explaining that the move is a result of a network realignment on their part.
In line with this development, it advised passengers with confirmed bookings from March 1 onwards to choose among three options they have laid out.
The first one is to rebook to a new travel date, specifically before February 27, as changing the destination in their original itinerary is not allowed.
Another choice presented the conversion of the value of the fare to a Travel Fund, which is non-expiring and can be utilized to book for anyone and for other destinations in the future.
Lastly, is to ask for a refund, although the airline reminded that the processing time of the refund will depend on the form of payment availed by the passengers.
Manila-Chiang Mai is one of the routes of the budget airline that connects the Philippines and Thailand, with their other services including Manila-Bangkok via Suvarnhabhumi and another through Don Mueang Airport.
