Ending months of him being a free agent.
In a post on Monday, November 6, Korean management and music recording company THEBLACKLABEL announced the newest artist to join the agency.
It is none other than Yim Si Wan, who comes fresh from the successes of the global mega-hit series ‘Squid Game’ and the movie ‘Mantis,’ that has found a new home.
“We warmly welcome actor Yim Si Wan and ask (for) your love and support for his upcoming activities,” the company shared in its statement.
This announcement marks a new chapter in the 36-year-old’s career, as he previously became active without any management company since August.
Within that span, his projects ‘Squid Game Season 3’ and ‘Mantis’ came out. On top of those, he also partnered with one of SM Entertainment’s subsidiary labels for his upcoming solo musical comeback.
Yim Si-wan debuted as a singer back in 2010 as one of the members of the second-generation K-pop group ZE:A.
Eventually, he made his acting debut through minor roles and special appearances in various dramas, before getting major roles in the likes of ‘Misaeng: Incomplete Life,’ ‘The King Is In Love,’ ‘Hell Is Other People,’ and ‘Boyhood,’ among others.
