It is a brand new horror offering from two of the country’s award-winning film studios.
Earlier in the week, movie outfits GMA Pictures and Mentorque Productions signed a new partnership that will see them collaborate for a new horror flick.
The former is responsible for the back-to-back Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) winners ‘Firefly’ and ‘Green Bones,’ while the latter is behind the movie ‘Mallari’ and ‘Uninvited.’
Present during the siging were GMA Senior Vice President for Talent Management, Programming, Worldwide, and Support Group departments, and President of GMA Pictures, Annette Gozon Valdes, SVP for Public Affairs and Pictures Nessa Valdellon, and Mentorque Productions’ John Bryan Diamante.
“We have a great story, an exciting cast, and a very strong partner in Mentorque. I think that it’s our honor to be a partner of Mentorque. This is our first venture together,” said Gozon in an interview with GMA Integrated News.
Titled ‘Huwag Kang Titingin,’ it boasts a line-up of young and rising actors from the Kapuso Network, with the AlFia tandem of Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay tapped to lead the offering.
Joining them are more fresh talents from Sparkle, led by the likes of Michael Sager, Shuvee Etrata, Anthony Constantino, Josh Ford, Marco Masa, Sean Lucas, and Charlie Fleming.
Also announced to be taking part in the flick are Kapamilya actress and ‘Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition’ alum Kira Balinger and Sherilyn Tan.
The film is set to be directed by Frasco Mortiz and promises to deliver a ‘Gen Z take’ on the genre. It will hit cinemas “soon,” as per the producers.
