The Kapuso reporter has once again gained the attention of online users.
In now viral photos, GMA Integrated News reporter EJ Gomez received salute from members of the public for her dedication to the craft.
This, as the media personality was spotted during the GMA Gala 2025 event at the Marriott Hotel in Pasay City on Saturday, August 2.
During which, she temporarily left behind her work to attend the glam affair, which was also graced by a bunch of her fellow Kapuso news and public affairs personalities, artists, executives, and other invited guests.
However, her glamorous look did not last long, as EJ was called to work where she reported on a fire incident.
Images of Gomez with her Gala look and her work have since been stitched together by users, including by a Facebook page called Sunbaenim, where 236,000 people have already reacted to date.
Reposting the said post, EJ commented, “Jusko po universe, ganito naman po ngayon?”
She continued, “Pero kidding aside, hindi po kasi pwedeng puro na lang tayo trabaho. For me, if there’s a chance to do something that makes us happy, I say we go for it. Minsan yun mismo, or ang change of mood natin ang nagpapagana sa atin to be more and do more at work.”
She also admitted that she also feels exhausted from doing her work, telling that each opportunity she gets to take a break, she spends it by experiencing nature, hanging out with friends, running, swimming, or going to a party like the GMA Gala.
“Pero, pag trabaho na, trabahong maayos naman. Sa trabahong meron po ako, umulan, bumagyo o kahit mausok pa yan, pupuntahan po namin sa abot ng aming makakaya para maihatid ng buo ang balita sa lahat—kahit galing pa po tayo sa GMA Gala,” EJ furthered.
To end, she thanked everyone who have commented, writing, “Maraming salamat po sa mga matatamis na salita at papuri, mga Kapuso. Nababasa ko po lahat. Taos puso pong pasasalamat.“
Prior to this meme, EJ also went viral online during the recent typhoon coverage, thanks to her well-maintained look despite the storm, with netizens quipping about her “setting spray” and other beauty regimen.
