It will be the next project of the blockbuster tandem.
On Wednesday, June 18, ABS-CBN production unit Dreamscape Entertainment announced their newest show entitled ‘The Alibi’.
Set to top-bill the romance-suspense series are two of the most in-demand stars of today, Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino.
According to the initial teasers, Chiu will be taking on the role of Stella Marie Morales, while Avelino will portray the character Vincent Cabrera, who is a member of the press.
FM Reyes and Jojo Saguin have been tapped to direct the new KimPau drama, which is written by Danica Mae Domingo.
Other cast members and the official broadcast date for the upcoming Kapamilya series have not yet been revealed at the moment.
‘The Alibi’ will mark the fourth project of Kim and Paulo, having first starred together in the 2023 infidelity-themed series ‘Linlang,’ which aired a teleserye version the following year.
That was later followed by the Filipino adaptation of ‘What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?,’ and most-recently, the hit romantic movie ‘My Love Will Make You Disappear’—which raked in PHP 173 million in the global box-office scene.
Meanwhile, both ‘Linlang’ and ‘My Love…’ are set to begin streaming on Netflix beginning July 4 and 10, respectively.
