Making these programs distinct from one another anew.
On Monday, June 15, GMA News officially relaunched its portfolio of TV newscasts, which adopted new on-air looks—ranging from title cards, opening billboards, to their lower-third graphics—and updated music themes.
The rollout began with the Unang Hirit‘s news segment Unang Balita, which took on a mix of the colors yellow, blue, and red, partially aligning it with the country’s longest-running morning show’s official colors.
At noontime, Balitanghali on GTV opted to do a visual callback and implemented a orange backdrop, reminiscent of its look during its 2011-14 era under then-GMA News TV.
It also revamped the title card of segments, which included Regional TV News. Meanwhile, the showbiz news segment anchored by Aubrey Carampel was also retitled to Ano’ng Latest (from Mare, Ano’ng Latest).
Hours later, it was the turn of the flagship evening newscast 24 Oras to showcase its new look, which included the return of the clock motif after 10 years, with the colors also simplified to red and white anew. Although, a striking blue digital clock appears in the lower-third, alongside the ticker.
It also made use of a 3D animation of the GMA Network Center building, which was also a callback to the graphics used circa 2008.
Furthermore, Chika Minute also had new theme, dropping the long-time score that has been used since the November 2014 revamp of the primetime newscast.
Coincidentally, the change also happens on the exact day that segment anchor Iya Villania celebrates her 11th anniversary on the program.
Late night newscast Saksi likewise rolled out its new visual identity, with its logo continuing to feature the recording button insignia above the letter I, which is an element that has remained since 2019.
Although, the camera lens, reminiscent to the 2011 relaunch, also appeared prominently in the newly implemented layout.
Last to roll out the organization-wide changes is the GTV flagship newscast State of the Nation, which kept the flag-inspired icon that has been present since its launch 15 years ago.
It also returned to using a mix of teal and red, which was first utilized in January 2021, coinciding with the launch of Atom Araullo and Maki Pulido as anchors at that time.
While the programs have changed much of their graphics packages, they remain unified by using the black-colored headline ticker that has been used by 24 Oras since 2019 and was applied to all TV newscasts during the GMA Integrated News relaunch in late 2023.
In addition, a new omnibus plug featuring the anchors of these news programs was also introduced during 24 Oras.
The relaunching of the newscasts comes more than two months after GMA News officially returned to its roots, ending its almost four-year-long presentation as GMA Integrated News.
During which, the Kapuso news organization told, “GMA News ushers in a renewed era this 2026, reaffirming its enduring commitment to its core mission: delivering truthful, balanced, and credible journalism to Filipinos around the world.”
At the heart of this revamp is the reaffirmation of its iconic “Serbisyong Totoo” tagline, which the network tstated as one that underscores the organization’s role as the “Philippines’ foremost guardian of truth and a trusted source of authoritative news and information.”
The promise, they underscored: “Walang kinikilingan. Walang pinoprotektahan. Noon at ngayon, Serbisyong Totoo,” which is said to be the reflection of GMA News’ “unwavering dedication to impartiality, integrity, and public service—values that have defined its journalism across generations.“
Prior the adoption of new look, the rolling newscast GMA News Bulletin was the first to break from the unified look, which was introduced back in December 2023.
