MMFF 2024: Dennis Trillo’s ‘Green Bones,’ Judy Ann Santos big winners during Gabi Ng Parangal

Last Friday, December 27, the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival Gabi Ng Parangal was held in Parañaque City.

During which, GMA Pictures’ movie ‘Green Bones’ emerged as the most-awarded film, bagging the major awards like Best Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Actor for Dennis Trillo, and Best Supporting Actor for Ruru Madrid.

Judy Ann Santos, who made her comeback at the movie festival, was given her third MMFF Best Actress award for her role in the Chito Roño horror flick ‘Espantaho’.

Here now is the full list of awardees during the Gabi Ng Parangal.

  • Best Picture: ‘Green Bones’
  • 2nd Best Picture: ‘The Kingdom’
  • 3rd Best Picture: ‘My Future You’
  • 4th Best Picture: ‘Isang Himala’
  • Best Actress: Judy Ann Santos (‘Espantaho’)

  • Best Supporting Actress: Kakki Teodoro (‘Isang Himala’)
  • Best Supporting Actor: Ruru Madrid (‘Green Bones’)
  • Best Director: Crisanto Aquino (‘My Future You’) and Michael Tuviera (‘The Kingdom’)
  • Best Screenplay: Ricky Lee and Angeli Atienza (‘Green Bones’)
  • Fernando Poe Jr. Memorial Award: ‘Topakk’
  • Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award: ‘The Kingdom’
  • Gender Sensitivity Award: ‘And The Breadwinner Is…’
  • Special Jury Citation: Vice Ganda
  • Special Jury Prize: ‘Topakk’ and ‘Isang Himala’
  • Breakthrough Performance Award: Seth Fedelin (‘My Future You’)
  • Best Child Performer: Sienna Stevens (‘Green Bones’)
  • Best Production Design: Nestor Abrogena (‘The Kingdom’)
  • Best Cinematography: Neil Daza (‘Green Bones’)
  • Best Editing: Vanessa de Leon (‘My Future You’)

  • Best Sound: Ditoy Aguila (‘Strange Frequencies, Taiwan Killer Hospital’)

  • Special Jury Prize: ‘Inang Wak-Wak’ (Mindanao State University – General Santos)
