One of the country’s most-iconic franchised gameshows is making a comeback this weekend.
Beginning April 25 and 26, the all-new season of the iconic game show Kapamilya, Deal Or No Deal will make its premiere.
Back as host of the long-running format is the Pambansang Host, Luis Manzano, who will be celebrating his recent 45th birthday in the show with two special ladies in his life: his mother and Star For All Seasons, Vilma Santos, and his wife, Jessy Mendiola.
Santos and Mendiola will be the first players of this season, which also includes other guest players such as Jodi Sta. Maria, AC Bonifacio, Aubrey Miles, and Jameson Blake, among others.
Meanwhile, handling the silver briefcases are 20 Lucky Stars, which include SexBomb Girls’ Jopay Paguia, comedians Negi and Lomg Mejia, Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab 2.0 housemate Rave Victoria, and more.
ABS-CBN first localized the Deal Or No Deal franchise at the height of the reality and game show mania in 2006 and it was originally hosted by the Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino.
In 2012 ABS-CBN revived KDOND with Luis Manzano presenting it. Then another three years after that, in 2015, Deal was brought back for its most-recent season, which aired on weekdays afternoons, that lasted until 2016.
As per the official plugs of the network, Kapamilya, Deal Or No Deal will air every Saturday and Sunday evening at 7:30 pm on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z.
At present, the initially reported GTV broadcast of the show remains to be up in the air, with no mentions on the said teasers by ABS-CBN, as well as from GMA Network itself.
