‘PBB Collab 2.0’ introduces batch of twenty Kapamilya, Kapuso Gen Z stars; welcomes back Luis Manzano as host

On Saturday, October 25, ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0,’ which is one again a co-production between ABS-CBN Studios amd GMA Network, officially premiered.

Plenty of surprises greeted viewers on the first night of the returning show.

Apart from the eight official housemates revealed earlier in the week, which comprises of Sofia Pablo, Joaquin Arce, Princess Aliyah, Miguel Vergara, Krystal Mejes, Heath Jornales, Marco Masa, and Carmelle Collado, another dozen were formally introduced on Saturday.

They were Sparkle stars Anton Vinzon, Ashley Sarmiento, Caprice Cayetano, John Clifford, Lee Victor, and Waynona Collins, as well as Star Magic artists Eliza Borromeo, Fred Moser, Iñigo Jose, Leila Ford, Rave Victoria, and Reich Alim.

The housemates also got their first-ever task after formally entering the “most-popular house in the Philippines.”

According to Big Brother himself, which was read by Carmelle, the participants will have to form a human chain to transfer a cake from the living room to the podium placed at the garden area.

Meanwhile, during the same episode, Pambansang Host Luis Manzano was also welcomed back as an official host of the franchise after more than 17 years.

Sa totoo, kinakabahan ako. Iba ang impact ng Bahay ni Kuya sa viewers, sa housemates. To be part of it again, it’s a blessing,” he told Big Brother who warmly received inside the confession room.

Aside from him, still remaining as part of Pamilya ni Kuya are Bianca Gonzalez, Robi Domingo, Kim Chiu, Enchong Dee, Melai Cantiveros, Gabbi Garcia, Alexa Ilacad, and Mavy Legazpi.

True to the nature of collaboration, Kapamilya P-pop band BGYO and Kapuso group Cloud 7 partnered for their rendition of Itchyworms’ ‘Kabataang Pinoy,’ the theme song of ‘PBB’ teen editions since 2006.

The 19th installment of the ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ franchise, ‘Celebrity Collab 2.0’ marks the second tie-up between ABS-CBN and GMA following the first ‘Celebrity Collab’ aired from March to July 2025.

Both seasons are part of the celebrations for the Philippines’ longest-running reality show’s 20th anniversary this year.
