It is the Nation’s Girl Group‘s latest international project.
On Thursday, July 23, P-pop group BINI released on digital platforms the new single entitled A Parallel World.
The predominantly English track, which has few Filipino words and phrases sprinkled throughout, is part of the official soundtrack (OST) of the upcoming animated movie entitled Forgotten Island.
The said track is produced by composer Nathan Matthew David and Shawn Wasabi and was first teased by the P-pop stars last July 11, when they held their Signals World Tour stop in Cebu.
They girl group joins many other Filipino artists in the OST for the movie led by Grammy Award-winning H.E.R. and actress Liza Soberano, who team up for the song BRB.
The two serve as the voices of central characters, which are Jo and Raissa, respectively.
Meanwhile, Lea Salonga, who breathes life to the character of the Dreaded Manananggal, is also said to be participating in the official soundtrack of the movie.
The classic song Never Tear Us Apart by INXS has also been performed by KATSEYE’s Sophia Laforteza, which will be used for the emotional moment between the two core characters.
P-pop superstars SB19, for their part, will cover Francis Magalona’s Mga Kababayan, while Ruby Ibarra and Carl Angelo will be doing the song Salbahae Ako.
Rounding up the film’s soundtrack are DMX’s Party Up and Baha Men’s Who Let the Dogs Out.
Forgotten Island, which is under DreamWorks Animation, is set to hit theaters this September and will be distributed by Universal Pictures.
Meanwhile, BINI is all set to bring their Signals World Tour to North America, as well as their much-anticiapted participation in the Summer Sonic 2026 Japan this August.
Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena are set to perform on the Mountain Stage and will join other artists like Blackpink’a Jennie, David Byrne, Jamiroquai, Kodaline, and Suede in the lineup.
They are set to perform first at the Expo ‘70 Commemorative Park in Osaka on August 14 (Friday), followed by their shiecase at the ZOZO Marine Stadium and Makuhari Messe in Tokyo on August 16 (Sunday).
