The Department of Education (DepEd) has concluded a series of nationwide orientations for the Learning Systems Reform Policies to prepare teachers and school heads in all regions for the upcoming school year.

According to Education Secretary Sonny Angara, the completion of the orientations is just the beginning of deeper support for their implementation in schools.

The orientation series was designed to ensure that the reforms were clearly understood, properly interpreted, and supported by accurate and reliable information at the school level.

For the final leg, officials from the DepEd Central Office brought the orientation to Region IV-B (MIMAROPA) through a two-day event in Puerto Princesa City attended by staff from regional and division offices, school principals, and teachers through a hybrid setup.

The nationwide orientation series covered key reforms in the Learning Systems, including the Three-Term School Calendar; Revised Guidelines on Lesson Planning; Classroom Assessment, Grading System, Awards and Recognition; Flexible Learning Programs; Education in Emergencies; Work Immersion; and the Strengthened Senior High School Curriculum.

After the orientations, DepEd will continue monitoring, feedback gathering, and technical assistance to guide schools in their transition.

The Department also encouraged teachers and school leaders to use the Learning Systems Guidebook, which serves as a centralized reference hub containing policy guides, teacher toolkits, short instructional videos, and official feedback channels.
