Preparatory infrastructure works for upcoming TCITX, SEMME in Taguig to run until October 2026

Authorities said the works are intended to improve road capacity and traffic flow in the area ahead of these major transport projects.

Authorities said the works are intended to improve road capacity and traffic flow in the area ahead of these major transport projects.

Beginning last April 20, construction works along the Arca South segment of the East Service Road in Western Bicutan, Taguig City commenced.

The said construction is said to be part of preparatory infrastructure efforts for future transport projects in the area, including the Southeast Metro Manila Expressway (SEMME) and the Taguig City Integrated Terminal Exchange (TCITX).

Scheduled to run until October 2026 the works along this section of East Service Road are part of preparatory infrastructure linked to the SEMME, also known as Skyway Stage 4, which could accommodate up to 150,000 vehicles daily.

The said new toll road is the planned 32.66-kilometer expressway that will connect Taguig City to Quezon City, providing an alternative to both EDSA and C-5.

The road works are also aligned with preparations for the planned TCITX, an intermodal transport facility intended to serve buses, PUVs, and commuters.

Ayala Land, which owns the Arca South development, views the road construction works positively, noting: “Over the long term, it positions Arca South as a strategic interchange and mobility gateway, anchored by expressway access, integrated public transport infrastructure, and multimodal connectivity.”

For investors and businesses, this reinforces Arca South’s core fundamentals: improved connectivity to Makati, BGC, NAIA, and eastern Metro Manila; expanded labor catchment; and increased attractiveness for office, residential, retail, and institutional developments,” it added, emphasizing these infrastructure upgrades will further strengthen the estate’s positioning as a mobility‑anchored mixed‑use district.

Within the Arca South area, the property giant has also established a retail presence through Ayala Malls Arca South, which will fully open in late 2026. At present, there is also a transport terminal linked directly to the mall.
