The “fab four” of the hit K-drama series are together once again.
On Friday, May 22, Korean cable TV channel tvN released the trailer for the much-anticipated reunion project of the stars of the 2016 mega-hit fantasy drama Goblin: The Great And Lonely God.
Seen in the minute-long clip, for the first time in nearly a decade, are lead stars Gong Yoo, Kim Go Eun, Lee Dong Wook, and Yoo In Na.
In the video, the four cast members returned to the very breakwater where the pivotal scene between Gong’s Kim Shin and Kim’s Ji Eun-Tak was shot.
But in a hilarious gender-bending twist, Yoo and Lee portrayed their roles, respectively.
Entitled Goblin 10th Anniversary Trip, the network announced that it will be broadcast on July 4 (Saturday) at 9:10 pm (Seoul time).
According to a previous report by Korean entertainment website Soompi, a source shared some information regarding this project. “Beyond just the time it aired, ‘Guardian: The Lonely and Great God’ is an iconic project that continues to receive love even now.“
“In celebration of the 10-year anniversary, we will reminisce about memories the viewers spent together with tvN, bringing nostalgic vibes by reuniting with a drama of a lifetime,” it added.
The main series premiered in 2016 and quickly made history for being a top-rating cable drama and the time to surpass 20 percent mark in viewership ratings.
It was written by Kim Eun Sook and directed by Lee Eung Bok.
