It will be the Kapuso Global Fashion Icon’s first foray into the genre.
On Monday (May 25), GMA Network announced the hosting duo that will helm the new original gameshow format of the station, The People Have Spoken.
Set to premiere this June 6, it os touted as a “high-energy quiz and a casual talk show rolled into one,” with the program challenging two celebrity teams to predict the most popular responses of 100 studio audience members who were surveyed prior to the game.
“The heart of the show lies in the lively, spontaneous banter triggered by relatable, everyday topics that viewers can easily connect with,” noted GMA in its press release.
Anchoring the show is Heart Evangelista, who will bring her “classy kikay energy” with celebrity guests players through each round of the gameplay.
It will also mark Evangelista’s debut in the genre, having previously done reality formats like Follow Your Heart and her ongoing series Heart World.
Joining her in the show is Sparkle artist and Unang Hirit funliner Sean Lucas, who will the unleash his quick wit through audience interactions.
For the young star, the program is a major career leap, charting his impressive rise from a promising Sparkada from the South to now, a primetime game show host.
Ths People Have Spoken will air every Saturday at 6:15 pm, right before Pepito Manaloto, on GMA.
