The Nation’s Girl Group will also make their second appearance at the Coachella Music Festival this weekend.
On Thursday, April 16, the tickets for the much-anticipated Signals world tour kick-off of P-pop girl group BINI went out via digital and physical outlets.
And just within hours, all tickets to the Manila show, which will happen at the Mall of Asia Arena on June 20, were declared sold out.
The said event is a double celebration as it will mark the first major headliner of the octet— composed of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena—after their major feat as the first homegrown Filipino act to perform at the Coachella Music Festival in the United States and the team’s fifth debut anniversary.
Aside from Manila, they are also set to perform in Cebu in July, as well as the USA, Canada, Netherlands, Italy, France, United Kingdom, Singapore, and Taiwan, with more details about the shows abroad expected to be revealed soon.
Meanwhile, in a joint statement on Friday, the members expressed their solidarity with their home network, ABS-CBN, amid the challenges that it is facing financially and on the corporate front.
“Sa mundong walang sigurado, may mga bagay pa rin na hindi magbabago. Palagi naming babalikan kung saan kami nagsimula. Mga taong unang naniwala sa BINI at sa tahanan na nagbigay sa’min ng chance para matupad ang mga pangarap namin,” the members’ message opened.
They told their fellow Kapamilyas, “Hindi man kami personal na makapagpakita ng suporta ngayon, gusto naming malaman ninyo na kasama namin kayo sa bawat hakbang at sa bawat dasal.”
In light of the situation, they have decided to dedicate their second weekend at Coachella not just for Blooms, but also fot ABS-CBN.
“Bukod sa aming Blooms, ang aming Week 2 performance sa Coachella ay para sa kompanyang tumanggap, lumaban, at tumupad sa mga pangarap naming minsan inakala naming hanggang panaginip lang.”
The girls continued, “Sa ABS-CBN, maraming maraming salamat po. Salamat sa pagtanggap sa walong babae na walang kasiguraduhan noon kundi ang kagustuhang mangarap. Salamat sa pagbibigay sa amin ng tahanan, ng pamilya, ng boses, at ng pagkakataong ipakita kung sino kami.“
“Alam naming maraming pinagdadaanan ngayon at sa maliit na paraan, sana ang performance na ito ay magsilbing paalala na ang mga pangarap na binuo ninyo, ang mga artistang pinalaki at minahal ninyo, patuloy na lalaban at magbibigay-inspirasyon saan man kami dalhin ng panahon,” they furthered.
Lastly, “At habang patuloy kaming umaakyat sa mas malalaking entablado, dadalhin namin kayo sa bawat hakbang, sa bawat kanta, at sa bawat tagumpay. Dahil ang tagumpay naming ito, hindi lang sa amin… tagumpay din ito ng ABS-CBN.”
