It is the new name of their artist management business.
In recent weeks, teaser plugs have begun airing on free-to-air station TV5 to promote Star Worx, with a slide of inconspicuous images of features of several personalities, with the date May 5, 2026 appearing in the end slide.
Days later, through its newscasts, the Kapatid network officially announced that the name is indeed the new branding of its parent firm Mediaquest’s talent management group, currently known as MediaQuest Artist Agency (MQAA).
The said rebranding comes as veteran starmaker Johnny Manahan, who led ABS-CBN’s Star Magic from its inception in the ’90s until 2020 and previously served as a consultant of Sparkle GMA Artist Center, signed up with the group in late 2025.
During his contract signing in November that year, Manahan shared how his partnership with the company, including its chairman Manny Pangilinan, started.
“Several years ago, in the days of COVID, I zoomed with Mr. Pangilinan about the possibilities of working for him on TV5. Perhaps the signs were not there yet because nothing came out of our conversations,” he told.
The seasoned starmaker then continued, “But today, years later, I find all roads leading to MVP’s doorway. This time, the stars are good.“
Manahan also revealed that Pangilinan gave him a strong mandate, directing him to build a “world-class, in-your-face artist center” that will discover and train the artists of the new decade.
“Because MVP knows that it is stars that are at the center of the content-making business. Not the directors, not the writers or scripts,” he also said.
At present, personalities under MQAA are the likes of 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival Best Actor winner Cedrick Juan and TV host-singer Ana Ramsey, among others.
