It will come in handy for those that will experience mishaps on the road around the capital region.
On Wednesday, February 25, during a press briefing at the Malacañan Palace, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) general manager Nicolas Torre III announced thay the Metrobase Hotline, (02) 136, has been reactivated.
The number, he told, will respond to road emergencies within five minutes.
The GM also said the public will be able to ask for assistance for crashes and collisions.
While on response is on the way, CCTV operators at MMDA Metrobase will be able to review the incident video to determine liability later. That will then be forwarded to parties via social media—with the ultimate goal is to clear the road of obstructions within 10 minutes.
