They pulled out from their supposed match this week.

In the updated schedule of the ongoing French Open in Paris, the tandem of Filipina tennis star Alex Eala and her supposed partner in the women’s doubles category, Victoria Mboko, are longer listed.

Originally, the duo was supposed to face off with Leylah Fernandez and Diana Shnaider. However, the two are now set to play opposite the pair of Oksana Selekhmeteva and Anastasia Zakharova.

No official reason was given for their withdrawal, although Mboko is still competing in the women’s singles category of the ongoing WTA 1000 tournament.

As for Eala, this meant that she is no longer going to be seen on the clay court this year after losing to Iva Jovic in the opening round of the women’s singles on Tuesday, May 26.

She is now expected to fly to the United Kingdom for the upcoming Lexus Birmingham Open, which will begin on June 1.
