New TESDA Skills Passport mobile app launched

It is a digital tool that aim to make technical education, skills training, and employment opportunities more accessible to Filipinos.

Last Thursday, February 5, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the launching of the the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority’s (TESDA) Skills Passport Mobile Application.

The app, which was developed under Director General Kiko Benitez, has been designed to integrate learning, certification, employment, and scholarship services. It also allows users to build verified digital identities, track progress, find opportunities, and access government support easily.

Sa pamamagitan ng TESDA Skills Passport Mobile Application, may all-in-one digital platform na tayo,” he said. “Dito makikita ninyo ang mga mahahalagang impormasyon tungkol sa TESDA trainees, scholarships, employment opportunities, TESDA-accredited training institutions, at TESDA online training courses.”

The TESDA Skills Passport Mobile App will allow users to plan their training, study online, and apply for scholarships through a single platform that is secure, with all user data and credentials protected.

Para sa ating TESDA scholars, mayroon kayong sariling digital storage kung saan mapapatunayan ang inyong National Certificate at mga training,” and added that the app also features an AI assistant available to respond to user’s queries at any time.

The chief executive stressed that his administration will continue to expand scholarships and skills training programs and noted that nearly PHP20 billion has been allocated to the agency in 2026, the largest budget in its history.

Palalakasin din namin ang pagsulong ng skills development ng bawat mamamayang Pilipino,” with Marcos noting the importance of education and skills development.

The President also said that technology is now part of everyday life of people and tools like the TESDA Skills Passport will help Filipinos access more job opportunities and improve their livelihoods.

The President then encouraged the youth, TESDA scholars, and all those eager to learn new skills to take full advantage of the technology.

For the Department of Education, this gives senior high school students, particularly those in the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) track a clear path from education to work.

The TESDA Skills Passport Mobile App is now available and can be downloaded on Android and iOS devices.
