Equipment befitting national athletes.
Last Monday, December 16, the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) turned over official Team Philippines sporting goods to the student-athletes of the National Academy of Sports (NAS).
The Luggage Turnover Ceremony was led by PSC Chairman Patrick ‘Pato’ Gregorio and Commissioner Edward Hayco and NAS representative Atty. Tracy Sangalang-Reas.
“You have to dream bigger. You are not just NAS students; you are national athletes,” Chairman Gregorio reminded the students during the event.
The PSC said that this initiative aims to boost the morale of young athletes and inspire them to pursue excellence as future national athletes.
In response, the NAS described the goods of being mere luggage, but rather “vessels for dreams.”
“As they pack their gear for future competitions, they also carry the nation’s hopes and their own boundless potential,” it added.
Moreover, the institution said that this support is a vital investment for them to continue nurturing the next generation of athletes and ensuring that they can embark on their path with readiness.
