The “most beautiful day in the universe” finally has a date.
In their social media pages, the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) officially announced the date and venue for its much-anticipated 75th edition later in the year.
The “Diamond Edition” of the globally-recognized beauty pageant will be happening on November 24, 2026 (local time) at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Migiel Argelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
In the Philippines, which is hours ahead of the Central American territory, that will mean that the event will take place on November 25.
In the said competition, reigning queen Fatima Bosch will crown her successor, with one of the candidates vying for the said spot being Miss Universe Philippines Bea Millan-Windorski.
Puerto Rico was first announced as the host of the said special edition of the pageant.
Raúl Rocha Cantú, one of of the co-owners of the Miss Universe Organization at that time, said during the press conference in September 2025, “Celebrating the 75th anniversary of Miss Universe in Puerto Rico is an honor and a tribute to the island’s historical and cultural significance within our organization. Puerto Rico has given the world unforgettable queens, and we are certain that this edition will mark a turning point in the history of the pageant.”
Meanwhile, Puerto Rico Gov. Jenniffer González Colón expressed, “For Puerto Rico, after 23 years, to once again host the most important beauty pageant in the world is a tremendous achievement and an extraordinary opportunity.
“This event opens the door for our island to continue positioning itself as a premier global destination for tourism and the events industry. Above all, it ensures that our economy benefits while showcasing our culture and everything Puerto Rico has to offer. From the very first day of my administration, that has been my mission,” she added.
