The channel will also be affected by the shake-up happening in the near future.
Following the announcement of the licensing deal between ABS-CBN Corporation and Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS), Inc. regarding the carriage of the Kapamilya Channel on ALLTV, many viewers wondered about the fate of A2Z.
The station, which drawns its name from the partner entities, is being carried on the frequencies operated by Zoe Broadcasting Network—which notably includes VHF Channel 11 in Mega Manila.
It has been the free-to-air home of ABS-CBN’s entertainment and news programs since October 2020, three months after the franchise renewal bid of the media giant was denied by Congress.
Despite the existence of a deal with TV5, A2Z remained the same as the network continued to play most of the Kapamilya network’s programs, including the newscast TV Patrol and specials like the annual Miss Universe pageant.
Essentially, A2Z acted as a mirror of the Kapamilya Channel on free-to-air television from morning to late-night for nearly five years, while channel 5 mainly concentrated to host only primetime and weekend programs—with outliers being the short-lived simulcasts of It’s Showtime and Magandang Buhay.
But a huge shake-up looms for A2Z as the recent tie-up between ABS-CBN and AMBS signals the broadcast of more shows from the content production powerhouse that are available on its flagship pay TV channel, a name that will soon be seen on-air free TV through the said licensing agreement.
In fact, ABS-CBN also stated that A2Z will continue to carry “prime” shows of the network, but did not elaborate on how will that plan pan out, at least in the foreseeable future.
Hence, in this edition of Schedule Suggestions, we take a look at what could the impending changes bring to viewers of A2Z come January 2, 2026. Moreover, we have also thrown in some additional ideas that could spice up programming for the station.

Immediately, the changes could mean shortened broadcast hours for the station. We speculate that A2Z would broadcast daily from 6:00 am to 12:15 am on weekdays, and 11:45 pm on weekends.
In the weekday morning block, the presence of more religious programs and shows from Light TV could possibly be the seen, with the ABS-CBN blocktime starting at around 9:00 am with the simulcast of Magandang Buhay.
Moving on to the late-morning to noontime, A2Z could opt to also carry the 10:00 am edition of News Patrol, which we have previously prpoposed to be carried by Kapamilya Channel on pay TV while ALLTV could choose to air its own Mabilis Lang ‘To newscast.
The Zinema Sa Umaga block would also remain, preceeding It’s Showtime. Although, right after the main noontime edition, ABS-CBN could consider placing a special extension program at 2:30 pm, which could be named It’s Showtime Overtime—a nod to the show’s infamous pre-pandemic practice.
Not only would this allow artists and shows airing on Kapamilya Channel/ALLTV and A2Z to promote their respective projects, as the program would not air on GMA, but also provide an additional platform for hosts of the show that has been reduced to just two segments daily.
From 3:15 pm onwards, the current afternoon lineup would remain, with exception of the Afternoon Zinema movie block that could be merged with the morning movie block.
Another suggestion is to add one of the daily Jeepney TV replays to fill the airtime that would be vacated if the movie presentation is to be axed.
Other than those, the entire evening grid remains unchanged.

9:45 pm – MMK: Hugot From The Vault
10:45 pm – Jesus The Healer
Every Saturday, as well as on Sundays, A2Z would continue to start the day with religious programming and shows from its sister channel Light TV.
These could be aired from 6:00 am to 10:30 am, with ABS-CBN shows starting with the broadcast of the Zinema Sa Umaga movie block. With that, the children-oriented shows, branded under the Yey! banner would be axed and would be aired only on both the Kapamilya Channel and ALLTV.
Meanwhile, similar to its weekday counterpart, the Saturday afternoon lineup could be rejuvenated with some tweakings.
After the proposed It’s Showtime Overtime extension program, the revived SOCO, which is available on streaming platforms, can be placed as a leadoff to a news and current affairs block that will include the already ongoing Tao Po and My Puhunan.
Following TV Patrol Weekend, the rerun of Flower Of Evil, which is already airing on ALLTV, could be carried over to A2Z to allow the broadcast of Pinoy Big Brother Collab 2.0 on other platforms like Kapamilya Online Live.
With that, the other shows on the primetime block could then be shifted to later and extended times, with Rainbow Rumble at 7:15 pm, Your Face Sounds Familiar at 8:30 pm, and MMK at 9:45 pm.
- SUNDAYS

7:15 pm – Rainbow Rumble
8:30 pm – Your Face Sounds Familiar
9:45 pm – Rated Korina
10:45 pm – Diyos At Bayan
The Sunday line-up will also see the removal of the the children-oriented programs that would continue to air on Kapamilya Channel and ALLTV.
Over to the afternoon block, meanwhile, Bisaya-language shows Kuan-On-One and TV Patrol Regional could also be expanded to a full 90 minute time belt by moving My Puhunan to Saturdays.
Similar to the Saturday night schedule, meanwhile, the primetime shows would also be shifted to later times, with the newsmagazine show Rated Korina bumped to air at 9:45 pm.
With the partnership between ABS-CBN and Zoe not going anywhere anytime soon, a tweak in A2Z’s programming grid could be in the offing.
While it is not yet confirmed on their part, a cautionary move is the best intermediary action that the media giant could go with, as any drastic changes within such a short period of time would risk alienating viewers and further fragment its own free TV audience base.
At least in the foreseeable future, we could expect A2Z continuing to carrying on as it has been in the past five years, though programming changes— whether you would want to consider it major or minor—would be an inevitable possibility at this moment.
At present, ABS-CBN and Zoe Broadcasting Network have not yet released any official schedules that will take effect on January 2.
