Alden Richards takes on first antagonist role in Hollywood film

“I have been dreaming about this, the bad guy.”

I have been dreaming about this, the bad guy.”

That is what Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards said when he finally achieved his first villain role in the new international movie, Big Tiger.

Iba, medyo disturbing kasi hindi ako sanay. But at the end of the day, when I saw the teaser, I think I am going to like this job,” the 33-year-old, who will portray the role of John Lynch in the movie, added.

The actor here did not only take a role in front of the camera, as he is also on-board in the production side as a co-producer through his own company Myriad Entertainment.

Also part of the movie are his fellow Kapuso star, actress Max Collins, as well as action star Luke Goss, Byron Mann, and Katheron McNamara.

Written and directed by action filmmaker Keoni Waxman, the film is slated to be released in 2026.

This movie is the latest for Alden, who has made his directorial debut with Out Of Order, which went straight to streaming earlier this year.

Last year, in 2024, he was also part of the highest-grossing Filipino movie of all-time, Hello, Love, Again, with Kathryn Bernardo. That film was a humongous success in local cinema, having raked in over PHP1.6 billion—the first and only Pinoy movie to do so in history.
