Following the adrenaline-fueled success of its Full Speed Ahead campaign, Philippine fashion giant PENSHOPPE’s newest campaign, Cozy Days Ahead, invites people to slow down and savor life’s most meaningful moments.
• Song Kang shares images from 18-month military service (October 5, 2025)
Korean actor Song Kang uploaded his first update to his 22.3 million followers on Instagram in more than a year. Through which, he shared some snapshots that he accumulated throughout his 18-month-long military service, which began in April 2024 and ended last October 1.
Aside from photos of himself, the star also uploaded the pictures that he has with his friends inside the camp.
• Paramount reportedly closing down MTV UK music channels in December (October 19, 2025)
In a report by BBC News on October 11, it revealed that Paramount Skydance, the major American media conglomerate that owns MTV among other brands, is pulling the plug on the specialty music channels.
Affected by the said move are MTV Music, MTV 80s, MTV 90s, Club MTV and MTV Live, which the Beeb said will stop broadcasting after December 31, 2025, marking the end of an era for the network that was formerly known as Music Television.
• Prime Video organizes NBA watch party in Manila (October 25, 2025)
On Saturday, October 25, streaming platform Prime Video officially debuted its newest offering, the live and extensive coverage of the National Basketball Association (NBA) games worldwide.
In the Philippines, the occasion was marked with a watch party in Makati City that brought together fans, influencers, and members of the media to witness the first two matches that streamed under the NBA on Prime banner.
• iWant drops teaser for ‘Ghosting Part 2: Deja Boo’ (October 26, 2025)
On Friday, October 24, ABS-CBN’s over-the-top (OTT) platform iWant dropped the teaser for the second book of its trending series ‘Ghosting.’
Officially titled ‘Ghosting Part 2: Deja Boo,’ the 30-second clip shows the chemistry between lead stars Fyang Smith and JM Ibarra as they become drenched by the rain.
• Kathryn Bernardo plays important role in ABS-CBN’s ‘Love Joy Hope’ Christmas ID (October 27, 2025)
Asia’s Superstar Kathryn Bernardo was seen interacting with Kapamilyas from all walks of life for a special session.
That said gathering was for the integral portion of the upcoming ‘Love, Joy, Hope: Sabay Tayo Ngayong Pasko’ Christmas ID, with the group being asked to write down ideas and stories that they want to hear in the song.
• Metro Retail opens new store concept in Cebu (October 28, 2025)
It is a new premium lifestyle store format designed to bring modern convenience to vertical communities, the company noted.
• BINI members mark one year with Penshoppe, grace ‘Cozy Days Ahead’ event in Davao (October 30, 2025)
Members of the P-pop group BINI flew all the way to Davao to grace the event set up by Filipino fashion retail giant Penshoppe.
The said program, which was held on October 25 and 26, was part of the launching events for the company’s latest collection called Cozy Days Ahead.
Coincidentally, it also marked the team’s first anniversary as endorsers of the brand, having been introduced as the faces of Penshoppe through Icons in late 2024.
• Jackson Wang on ‘Magicman II’ in Manila: ‘I’m speechless’ (November 3, 2025)
A sea of crowd filled the popular Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Sunday, November 2 as K-pop star Jackson Wang, a member of the boy band GOT7, returned to the Philippines with a solo concert called Magicman II.
• Manny Pacquiao departs ‘Physical: Asia’ after four episodes (November 9, 2025)
During the fifth episode of the Netflix reality show Physical: Asia, world-renowned boxer Manny Pacquiao made an announcement regarding his participation in the series.
According to the only eight division world champion in boxing history, he was leaving his post as the team leader of the Philippine team to focus on other “obligations” that he had at the time of filming.
• Anne Curtis reacts to viral ‘Golden’ performance in Vancouver for ‘ASAP’ (November 14, 2025)
In an interview at the sidelines of Anko’s first anniversary event in Makati City last November 7, actress-TV host Anne Curtis was asked about her reaction to her own performance during the ‘ASAP’ show in Vancouver last October.
• Ahtisa Manalo finishes third runner-up in Miss Universe 2025, Mexico’s Fátima Bosch takes home the crown (November 21, 2025)
On Friday, November 21, the 74th Miss Universe pageant took place at the Impact Challenger Hall in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Philippines sent its national titleholder, Ahtisa Manalo, as the country’s representative in the competition that started with a total of 120 contestants from all over the world.

• ABS-CBN Entertainment channel on YouTube disappears (November 29, 2025)
On Saturday, November 29, Kapamilya viewers on YouTube were left stunned after the ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube channel, which has 56 million subscribers, suddenly disappeared.
According to eyewitness accounts, the channel had allegedly been hacked and livestreamed unauthorized materials, shortly before it went down.
The channel eventually resumed normal streaming a few days later.
• BINI member Aiah Arceta participates in Becky Armstrong’s concert in Thailand (December 1, 2025)
On Sunday, November 30, Aiah Arceta, a member of the Nation’s Girl Group BINI, flew to Bangkok, Thailand for a special show.
The P-pop star is among the guests for the B New Era birthday concert of Thai actress-performer Becky Armstrong, which took place at the Queen Sirikit Convention Center.
Aiah immediately wowed the crowd with her explosive entrance with a rendition of Christina Aguilera’s song Fighter with Becky.
• Thai actor Win Metawin goes viral for flaunting chiseled physique in new photo (December 3, 2025)
On a random Monday, which happened to be December 1, 2025, Thai actor Win Metawin decided to drop a photo of himself on his personal account on X, formerly Twitter.
The said image, which he captioned simply as “Once upon a time,” sees him inside the bathroom while flexing his chiseled physique.
Soon after, he has gone viral on social media, as fans and other netizens reposted and reacted to his picture, which as of this writing has already garnered over 14 million views and 124,000 likes on the platform.
• Lee Jun Ho, Lee Chae Min star in upcoming Netflix series ‘Cashero’ (December 6, 2025)
The series follows the life of Sang-ung (Lee Junho), a salaried worker struggling to make ends meet who gains a superpower that grows stronger with the money in his hand.
Torn between bills and power, he becomes a down-to-earth hero in the “My Cash = My Power” story that is packed with humor, heart, and relatability and imagines a world where saving the day comes with a very real price tag.
• Darren Espanto goes viral for ‘Maui Wowie’ cover on ‘ASAP’ (December 10, 2025)
In an episode of variety show ASAP, singer Darren Espanto hopped on in the trend after he performed his version of Kid Cudi’s 2008 single Maui Wowie, which has been used in countless video clips on social media since September.
• MAMA Awards confers Music Visionary of the Year to ‘Kpop Demon Hunters’ (December 12, 2025)
At the recent 2025 MAMA Awards in Hong Kong in late November, the leading K-pop awards show gave out multiple prizes to the year’s top K-pop acts.
But a standout category in the said event was the Music Visionary of the Year, which gave honor to those who push K-pop’s boundaries, contribute to its legacy, and redefine its possibilities on the global stage.
• Kapamilya Channel to air on ALLTV starting January 2; ABS-CBN settles obligations with TV5 (December 17, 2025)
In a statement on Wednesday, December 17, ABS-CBN Corporation announced another major shake-up, not only for the company, but for Philippine television.
This, as the media giant announced the inking of its licensing agreement with Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS), which owns the free-to-air station ALLTV.
According to ABS-CBN, the frequency operated by Manny Villar will begin broadcasting the Kapamilya Channel, which is currently exclusive to pay TV subscribers at the moment, starting January 2, 2026.
The announcement comes weeks after it was revealed that its current television partner, TV5, decided to terminate its supposed five-year-deal with ABS-CBN effective on the same date.
According to the Kapamilya network, it has since settled its financial obligations with TV5, an amount which it did not disclose.
