Blackpink brings ‘Deadline’ world tour to Bulacan

This weekend (November 22 and 23), Korean pop girl group Blackpink will be holding a two-night show in the Philippines.

Part of their ongoing Deadline world tour, the concert will be staged at the world’s largest indoor arena, the Philippine Arena, in Bocaue, Bulacan.

The said event marks the first show of the quartet, comprising of Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé, in the country since their Born Pink tour back in 2023.

Bulacan is one of the many stops of the current series, which kicked off in Goyang, South Korea last July.

Other stops include Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Jakarta, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, some of the celebrities spotted at the concert were Aiah Arceta and Stacey Sevilleja of the popular P-pop group BINI, who wore costumes inspired by the Korean pop act.

Moreover, the Blackpink pop-up store offering merchandise items and memorabilia was also set up at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City in line with the concert weekend. It will run until Sunday, November 23.

Composed of members Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé, Blackpink debuted in 2016 and is known for their successive hit songs Whistle, Boombayah, Playing with Fire, As If It’s Your Last, Ddu-du Ddu-du, Kill This Love, Lovesick Girls, Pink Venom, and Shut Down, among others.

Last July, they released their first single in nearly three years, Jump, which has already amassed over 279 million views on YouTube and nearly 400 million streams on Spotify as of writing.
