BLOOMs and casual listeners will share this sentiment on BINI’s songs, especially if they are tuning to it using music streaming platform Spotify.
According to their label Star Music, “The Nation’s Girl Group” of Filipino pop music or P-pop has achieved 1.4 million monthly listeners on the said app.
This new feat catapults them to the #1 spot among P-pop groups, surpassing SB19 who currently has 1.3 million listeners and is the first P-pop group to ever do so.
Over a week ago, on March 10, BINI also cracked a new record when they became the first female P-pop group to breach the 1 million monthly listeners mark.
The sharp increase in the girl group’s listenership comes amidst the sensation caused by their song ‘Pantropiko,’ which also became a viral dance challenge on TikTok.
BINI debuted in 2021 and is composed of 8 members, namely Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena.
Last March 8, in time for the International Women’s Day, BINI dropped their first-ever extended play ‘Talaarawan,’ which includes the above-mentioned viral song, as well as five other tracks like ‘Salamin, Salamin,’ and ‘Karera,’ among others.
Aside from their first EP, BINI is also set to mark their third anniversary since their 2021 debut with a concert on June 28, 2024 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
