Now reaching viewers beyond the digital space.
Beginning Sunday, November 16, ABS-CBN News’ weekly Bisaya newscast TV Patrol Regional will expand its reach.
This, as the fast-paced round up of regional headlines anchored by Annie Perez, begins airing on Kapamilya Channel and A2Z, as well as Kapamilya Online Live every Sunday afternoon at 5:15 pm.
According to ABS-CBN, the decision to broadcast it on linear platforms came as the program, launched last November 2 via the ABS-CBN News YouTube channel, garnered thousand of views online.
It has also quickly become a “credible show to watch among Visayan-speaking audiences” since its launch.
Moreover, TV Patrol Regional also marked the return of the brand after five years, as it was formerly used as the umbrella term for dedicated TV Patrol newscasts in the regions until the terrestrial broadcast network shutdown of ABS-CBN and the eventual dissolution of the Regional Network Group in 2020.
Despite that, TVP Regional, the network said, strengthens its “commitment in delivering public service journalism, especially in underserved areas.”
TV Patrol Regional will air every Sunday from 5:15 to 5:30 pm on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and ABS-CBN News YouTube channel, right before the national flagship TV Patrol Weekend with Zen Hernandez and Adrian Ayalin.
