‘KMJS: Gabi Ng Lagim: The Movie’ unveils teaser

On Sunday, October 5, GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs released the first trailer for the upcoming movie spin-off of the annual Halloween special of the Sunday newsmagazine show ‘Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.’

‘KMJS: Gabi Ng Lagim The Movie’ is inspired by true events, with the production noting that it will comprise of three stories that promises to deliver thrill and fear to audiences.

Narrated by Jessica Soho, the film will be top-billed by Jillian Ward, Sanya Lopez, Miguel Tanfelix, and Elijah Canlas.

Episodes in the movie will each be directed by Yam Laranas, King Mark Baco, and Dodo Dayao, DGPI, with Sony Pictures Releasing serving as the distribution partner.

The ‘Gabi Ng Lagim’ franchise was started in 2013 when ‘Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho’ aired its first Halloween special under the branding.

In 2024, in line with the top-rating program’s 20th anniversary, it announced that the horror-themed series will be having a film, with the public asked to submit their stories for the chance to be featured.

Prior to ‘Gabi Ng Lagim,’ GMA Pictures released last July another horror movie, ‘P77,’ which starred Barbie Forteza and child star Euwenn Mikaell—marking the studio’s comeback to the genre after producing the critcially-acclaimed films like ‘The Road’ and ‘Aswang Chronicles.’
