Another project for the three Kapuso stars.
In an announcement on Wednesday, July 30, GMA Network officially bared the lead stars of its newest action-drama offering this 2025.
Titled ‘Never Say Die,’ Pambansang Ginoo David Licauco, Star of the New Gen Jillian Ward, and Korean actor Kim Ji Soo will join forces in the series directed by Dominic Zapata.
Also part of the ensemble are veteran actress Gina Alajar, Raymart Santiago, Angelou de Leon, Richard Yap, Wendell Ramos, Ayen Muji-Laurel, Tanjo Villoso, Michelle Dee, and Raheel Bhyria.
The new project will mark the first full-length series of Licauco, Ward, and Kim on GMA in awhile.
All three of them have already made or will soon be seen in guest apperances in dramas, with David on ‘Beauty Empire,’ Ji Soo in ‘Sanggang Dikit FR,’ and Jillian in the last few weeks of the recently-concluded ‘Mga Batang Riles’.
As this will also mark the first work of David Licauco without perennial partner Barbie Forteza, he admitted to be feeling challenged in making this show.
“To be honest, itong teleserye na ‘to, hindi ako sanay na wala si Barbie. The past three teleseryes ko, lagi kong kasama si Barbie, si Dennis [Trillo]. ‘Yun ‘yung naging comfort zone ko eh. It will be a challenge for me, definitely,” he said in an interview with GMA News.
Meanwhile, this would be a reunion for Jillian with her ‘Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap’ co-stars Richard Yap, Raheel Bhyria, and Kim Ji Soo.
However, this would be her first action project, with the New Gen actress sharing her preparations for the role.
“Nakapag-train na po ako paano humawak ng baril properly, paano po ‘yung footwork kapag may fight scenes, gan’yan,” she said in the same article.
‘Never Say Die’ is slated to broadcast sometime in 2025.
