TV5 debuts reformatted ‘Face To Face With Ate Koring’

The popular talk show has taken on a new look and mission.

The popular talk show has taken on a new look and mission.

Last Monday, March 16, the long-running tabloid talk show Face To Face debuted an entirely new look.

Still hosted by seasoned broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez-Roxas, the program has bade farewell to its original format, where two opposing sides go to the show to air their grievances on one another.

This time around, it is no longer the case, as the new Face To Face With Ate Koring is visibly lighter and softer in tone, as it serves new segments that put the spotlight on different people and deliver more meaningful discussions and lessons to viewers.

Joining Sanchez-Roxas this season are radio DJ and TV reporter Laila Chikadora, content creator and financial literacy advocate Cheena Crab, who is also known as the Pera Godmother, and actor-host Ryle Santiago—who returns to the show after being part of the previous Harapan season.

Among the new portions of the show are 5K For You, where viewers can participate and nominate a deserving person who will receive PHP5,000 in financial assistance.

In Misis Wais, topics surrounding entrepreneurship and money management, including potential income opportunities and practical steps toward building small businesses from home, are tackled.

Meanwhile, in Ihain Na Yan, Ate Koring teams up with culinary enthusiasts to prepare dishes and share practical cooking tips and stories behind these meals.

Baby Bibo will see Korina interact with talented or endearing children, while Alagang Ate Koring highlights wellness, beauty and self-care.

Face To Face with Ate Koring airs every weekday morning at 11:00 am, right after the morning edition of Frontline Express, on TV5.
