On Tuesday, July 22, in spite of the weather, the action continued in the top-rating ABS-CBN primetime series ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’.
Picking up from the successful intrusion of Santino (Ronwaldo Martin) into the house of the Guerrero clan while the rest of the Red Phoenix were dealing with Roberto (Albert Martinez), the episode sees him move forward with his plan to go after Miguelito (Jake Cuenca).
This was after he knew that the Congressman-turned-mayoralty candidate was the one behind the slaying of his brother, David (Mccoy de Leon).
As the scene happened late at night, Miguelito was seen in his comfortable state inside his room as he began filming a workout video while only wearing his white brief.
That was when Santino decided to attack him, but the politician was able to defend himself quickly by throwing his tumbler.
Given the situation, Miguelito did not have enough time to dress up and fought with Santino with his almost bare body.
After the scene aired, Jake Cuenca and his character became hot topics on social media, with netizens both expressing their amusement and praise for the actor for the scene.
Others even compared it with the the viral scene of Maris Racal during the pilot week of the recently-concluded series ‘Incognito’ back in January.
The 37-year-old actor even referenced that in an interview prior to the Tuesday broadcast, saying, “Magugulat kayo sa makikita ninyo sa Batang Quiapo next week. Let’s just say, the girls of Incognito aren’t the only ones who will gonna do fight scenes in their underwear.”
This scene was not the first time that Jake was seen wearing only his underpants, as he has been a popular model for a clothing brand.
Back in March, he even made his comeback during a fashion event, where he also made a show by riding his motorcycle on the runway.
