They are indeed back in our area.
On Friday, July 11, Korean pop powerhouse group BLACKPINK unveiled their newest single entitled ‘Jump’.
The high-octane energy of the song was reflected in its futuristic music video published on the same day, which has now amassed over 15 million views on YouTube within 9 hours.
The new track marks the quartet’s first comeback in almost three years, with their last being the ‘Born Pink’ album in 2022 that carried the songs ‘Shut Down’ and ‘Pink Venom’.
Moreover, ‘Jump’ also came out a few days after their ongoing reunion tour, ‘Deadline,’ kicked off in South Korea on the weekend of July 5 and 6.
Eventually, the tour will be taking place in multiple countries including the Philippines, with the Bulacan stop scheduled to happen over two nights, on November 22 and 23, 2025, at the Philippine Arena.
Prior to that, the group last held in the country the previous album’s namesake tour at the same venue in March 2023.
Blackpink debuted in 2016 as part of the third-generation of K-pop and is best-known for their hit singles like ‘Whistle,’ ‘Boombayah,’ ‘As If It’s Your Last,’ ‘Ddu-du Ddu-du,’ and ‘Lovesick Girls,’ among many others.
In the past few months, BLINKs have been treated with individual music releases of the members, which started with Rosé’s ‘Rosie,’ followed by Jisoo’s ‘Amortage,’ Lisa’s ‘Alter Ego,’ and Jennie’s ‘Ruby’ albums.
