KITE Studios, the award-winning student production from the University of Santo Tomas (UST), proudly announces the launch of two original shows as part of COMMTV 2026—Too Thrifty and Maiba, Taya!
Too Thrifty is a 30-minute educational show for people who want to better manage their finances.
With its tagline, “Pera ang Labanan, Diskarte ang Puhunan,” the show commits to practical, easy-to-understand strategies, highlighting budgeting, earning, and investing while challenging often intimidating financial concepts.
Furthermore, it will not only focuses on the value of managing wealth, but also on the responsible use of available resources.
Meanwhile, Maiba, Taya! is an interactive show that offers a fresh take on the classic impostor game and challenges misconceptions on campus.
With its tagline, “Ang hindi mahuli ang wagi!,” each episode focuses on two Thomasian programs, highlighting their unique traits while encouraging diversity and mutual respect.
The pilot episode of Too Thrifty premiered on April 6 and was streamed from 4:15 to 4:45 pm via UST Tiger TV’s Facebook page and broadcast across 13 IPTV sets around campus.
Meanwhile, Maiba, Taya! will follow in May, bringing more excitement to COMMTV 2026.
