After announcing the hosting duo of Jolina Magdangal and Robi Domingo as presenters of the show, it was time for the jury to be made known.
Returning to her seat since the first regular season of ‘Idol Philippines’ is ‘Asia’s Songbird,‘ Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.
She will be joined by comebacking season 2 judge, ‘Mr. Pure Energy,’ Gary Valenciano.
Meanwhile, for the Kids series, the two other chairs will be occupied by other popular OPM (original Filipino music) singers.
The ‘Queen of Teleserye Theme Songs‘ and ‘Star Power’ grand champion, Angeline Quinto, is joining the panel.
From one ex-contestant to the other, ‘The Voice Kids Season 1’ finalist and the hitmaker behind ‘Buwan’ and ‘Ere,’ Juan Karlos Labajo, is also part of ‘Idol Kids’.
The upcoming show will be the first children-exclusive spin-off of the format, which had seen four seasons since it was first introduced in the country back in 2006.
It was when ABC-5 produced ‘Philippine Idol,’ which was followed in 2008 by a soft-reboot after GMA-7 acquired the rights, paving the way to the lone season of ‘Pinoy Idol’.
It was in 2018 when ABS-CBN disclosed that it picked up the format for a third revival, ‘Idol Philippines,’ which broadcast in April of the following year.
It was then greenlit for a second season in 2022.
