Another major international achievement for the Filipina content creator.
Abi Marquez, dubbed as the Internet’s ‘Lumpia Queen,’ has added another feather to her cap after bagging a major award af the recent WIBA Awards that was held during the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in France.
There, the 24-year-old Filipina online personality was able to get the title of Food Creator of the Year in what is described as the “Oscars” for influencers and bloggers from all around the world.
In her Instagram post, Abi shared her thoughts following her major achievement.
“Still crazy to me that I’m in Europe for the first time and recognized for what my team and I have built with love, to be surrounded by creators from around the world and to represent Filipino food on another global platform.“
She then expressed her gratitude to her family, friends, and team, as well as her management, NYMA, for guiding her in every step pf the way.
“To everyone who watched and shared our content, maraming salamat po. You helped Filipino Food be seen across the globe,” Marquez added.
This is yet again another feat for Abi, who has gotten nominations and awards from various global bodies, such as the Webbys, Shorty Awards, and the Telly Awards.
Marquez gained popularity on social media, thanks to her viral experiments that involved dishes like sinigang that she turned into lumpia or spring roll.
She is also into sharing and exploring culinary history, as proven by her collaboration with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) for the special ‘Crossing Borders: Philippines and India’ documentary in 2024.
