She is indeed on a roll with another international nomination.
Filipina food content creator Abi Marquez, also known as the ‘Internet’s Lumpia Queen,’ is once again nominated by an award-giving body abroad.
This, as she was recently announced as a double nominee at the 45th Annual Telly Awards, a prestigious body honoring the best in global video and television production.
Abi is recognized for her overall work as a digital creator, which include her entire portfolio of quickfire recipes to deep dives into Filipino dishes that strike the perfect balance between entertaining and educational.
Her nomination in the People’s Telly Online Series, Shows & Segments Category places her in the same category as Warner Bros. Discovery, Disney Experiences, and LANY Entertainment.
Abi is also the only nominee in this list from the Philippines, representing Filipino homegrown content on a global stage.
Meanwhile, the ‘Lumpia Queen’ also earned a second nomination, this time for the “Gordon Ramsay Doesn’t Like My Beef Wellington” for People’s Telly Social Video category.
In the viral clip, Abi recreated the iconic Beef Wellington —one of Gordon Ramsay’s most famously difficult dishes— with a Filipino twist. But the catch is she did it knowing full well Ramsay might not approve. The result? A video that’s equal parts hilarious, educational, and wildly entertaining.
The piece is nominated in the Social Video category, which honors outstanding short-form content designed for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. This entry is up against works from Netflix Queue, CeraVe, Al Jazeera Digital, and more.
Both nominations are under the People’s Telly Awards, meaning public voting will determine the winners and the poll is open until Saturday, April 19 only.
