While all roads may lead to Cubao, but going there the fastest way possible is another experience to be had.
On Friday, April 4, digital game-style show ‘Para-Paraan,’ which airs on the UST Tiger TV of the University of Santo Tomas, aired its second episode.
Like in episode 1, the show features challengers betting on the fastest and most cost-efficient routes to reach their destinations, starting from UST.
In the second episode of the program, three Thomasians, namely Jake, Chelsea, and Ynigo were challenged to take the fastest route using public transportation from the UST campus along España Boulevard, Manila all the way to the major Cubao hub in Quezon City.
Ynigo, who took the jeep, logged 56 minutes — therefore the fastest of the three — although slightly expensive at Php 25.
Meanwhile, Chelsea rode the bus, which was the cheapest option at Php 20, and got there within 1 hour and 3 minutes.
LRT-2, which was used by challenger Jake, was the costliest of the three choices and set him back Php 30 for a single-journey ticket. He also was the slowest to arrive at the designated location, recording 1 hour and 23 minutes.
Insights during the program were provided by MMDA’s Special Operations Group-Strike Force head Gabriel Go, who virtually joined the show via teleconferencing.
The last of this three-episode series is scheduled to make its premiere on Friday, April 11, 2025 on UST Tiger TV at 3:00 pm.
