Congress ratifies P6.352-T nat’l budget in 2025; PBBM to sign before Christmas

During a meeting of the Bicameral Committee, composed of members from both the House of Representatives and Senate, the proposed Php 6.352 trillion national budget for 2025 was officially ratified.

The approved version of the bill includes the consolidated version of the bill from both chambers of Congress.

The 2025 budget is more than Php 600 billion higher than that of the year 2024, where the Philippines’ annual budget was at Php 5.768 billion.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, December 12, Malacañang Palace confirmed that President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Jr. will be signing the approved version of the bill “before Christmas day.”

Following the usual practice, the proposal will be sent to his office first and reviewed.
